FOREMAN POSTIONS

A Pipe Foreman at IGT is responsible for laying underground utilities system such as water, sewer, storm drain, and mainline. You are to be a reliable leader who is able to guide, instruct, and recognize their team. Knowing and understanding the quality of construction we produce is mandatory for our success.

A Grade Foreman at IGT is responsible for leading grading, excavation, and site development crews on commercial and heavy civil construction projects. You are expected to be a reliable leader who can guide, instruct, and motivate your team while ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification. Understanding grades, elevations, site plans, and project quality standards is essential to the success of every project we build.

Duties / Description:

• Operation of a variety of equipment suitable to meet the specifics of project
• Perform inspection of site to determine location of exactions
• Locate existing utilities and underground obstructions
• Ability to listen and be accountable when leading a team
• Comply with federal, state, and local codes and ordinances including OSHA standards and rules
• Ensure on site equipment is maintained in a proper fashion
• Self-starter and the ability to work long hours
• Ability to read and understand blueprints and grade
• Knowledge of installation of underground systems
• Maintain accurate daily reports and production tracking
• Verify elevations, slopes, and site layout using GPS and grading equipment
• Lead and coordinate grading crews to ensure productivity and quality
• Knowledge of earthwork, excavation, site preparation, and road construction
• Ability to establish and maintain finished grade tolerances
• Ability to write daily reports
• Install pipe to proper elevation

Pay Range: $25 - $39
Qualifications / Experience: Driver's license: Required (Class CDL A Preferred) Pipe Layer: 5 years (preferred) | Grading Operator: 5 years (preffered) | Operation experience related to pipe work/ Grade: 3 years | Lead/Foreman Experience: 2 years (preffered) | Strong Understanding of Elevations and Grade: Required 
Schedule: 8 - 10 hour shifts Monday through Friday (Some Saturdays may be required)
